The City of Johannesburg(COJ) has proposed the following increases to municipal tariffs across all key services, effective 1 July 2025.
The following increases will apply:
• Water and Sanitation (sewer):13.9%
• Residential sectional title units sewer charge was R704.47 - increasing to R802.39 per unit.
• Electricity:12.74% (including the 12.41% Eskom pass-through increase)
• Refuse Collection:6.6%
• Property Rates: 4.6%
